Slide The City Waterslide Coming To Knoxville This Saturday!

Is the blazing heat driving you crazy? Here’s something to cool you down and restore your sanity.  Slide The City is coming to Knoxville this Saturday and bringing their 1000 foot slip and slide with them!  Per the Slide The City website: “Slide The City is a family friendly slip-and-slide water party event.  There will be live music, food, drinks, water, and of course the biggest slip and slide ever to hit asphalt.  Don’t worry, we’ve got it padded. This slide’s got more cushion that your grandpa’s orthopedic sneakers.”

Farragut TN Dogwood Trail is Open! Now Through April 26th.

Farragut TN Dogwood TrailThe 7.9-mile Farragut TN Dogwood Trail will wind through Farragut, TN as part of the Dogwood Arts Festival’s 2015 Trails & Gardens event. The 7.9 mile trail is just part of over 60 miles of trails in the Knoxville area, the Farragut Trail will be open from April 8th to April 26th.

The Dogwood Arts Festival, currently in it’s 55th year, celebrates the natural and cultural beauty of East Tennessee. On the Farragut Trail you’ll enjoy 487 homes throughout Fox Den, Country Manor and Village Green subdivisions. All are welcome and invited to enjoy the trail with a walk, bicycle ride or drive.

The official sponsor of the Farragut Trail, “First Watch: The Daytime Café”, is hosting a weeklong “Bloomin’ Breakfast” event from April 13th to 17th, which will feature daily drawings and the opportunity to win a year-long weekly breakfast for two. The first 50 guests each day will receive a First Watch mug or coozie.

It’s Christmas time in Knoxville!  So what are some things you can do around town during this holiday season?

Here are a list of some of the more popular things to do in Knoxville around Christmas:

Christmas in the City is a yearly Christmas season festival that is highly anticipated by locals and visitors alike.  Events surrounding the festival are favorites such as: Knoxville Holiday on Ice (see the video above), Regal Celebration of Lights, WIVK Christmas Parade, Xfinity Christmas at Chilhowee Park,  Tour De Lights Bike Ride, New Year’s on the Square, plus many more activities put on by our local arts community (i.e. Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, University of Tennessee, Tennessee Theatre, Clarence Brown Theatre, and more).
