August Report of Existing Home Sales and Prices By Region
Some Highlights:
- Across the country Existing Home Sales are up 10.3% year-over-year.
- For the 10th month in a row of year over year gains, Sales rose to an annual rate of 5.59 million.
- The U.S. Median price of a home is $234,000, up 5.6% year-over-year.
- The August numbers mark the 41st consecutive month of year-over year price gains.

Foreclosed Homes Hit Lowest Mark in 7 Years
Some Highlights:
- The number of foreclosed in the US has fallen 28.9% to 472,000.
- Only 3.5% of homes in the US are currently in serious delinquency.
- The inventory level of foreclosed homes hit the lowest level since January 2008 at 1.2% of all homes with a mortgage.

Home Prices and Sales are Rocketing Upward!
I hope you enjoyed a great 4th of July weekend! It turns out that along with the fireworks, home prices and home sales are shooting up just as dramatically.
Some Highlights:
- Existing Home Sales are 9.2% higher than just one year ago.
- Home Prices are 7.9% higher than last year this time.
- The $250-500K price range leads the way with the largest improvement from last year at 17.4%.
